Sixty feet of prehistoric terror. When Brazier opens an environmentally friendly oil rig in the ocean, Christen and her cameraman, Jake, go out to expose the 'truth' to the world. Unfortunately, the truth is worse than they could ever guess when the drilling opens a cavern that has been closed for centuries and contains creatures that none of them have ever seen before. Most of the creatures are relatively harmless, but the giant megalodon makes it his mission to destroy the rig.
