I really liked this film. The story is perhaps the most unnerving, particularly when, as a viewer, you're looking for this hollywood ending that never comes. The actors were raw and seemed to have chemistry. The human characters' lives resemble that of every other stressed out American careerperson and the struggle for life is the epicenter of the film. My favorite character in the film was perhaps the most important...the water. The film comes across as a nature v. man type of pic. In the end, you'll like this film if you like these types. If you don't, you won't. Don't watch it if you're looking for Jaws or for what the trailers promised. It is a voyeuristic view into two people's lives as they face imminent death. If that is what you want to watch or feel, because you definitely feel the despair and frustration, the anger and grief, then by all means, partake in some misery. It is a terrifying and sad film but that says nothing about the quality...which warrants my 3.5 star rating.
