This movie was fantastic. The graphics were amazing and so was the acting, even though I cared more for King Kong than anyone else :)

I didn't see the whole movie, just the awesome parts. The effects and action were awesome. The story and monsters were awesome!! to not give this film 5 stars, is unacceptable. It's like dark knight, you HAVE to give that movie 5 stars!! Great...

Every old, black and white, groundbreaking film deserves a worthy remake, and we've got one here. Along with a great cast and original-King Kong loyalty, you've got the only remake you'll ever need from Peter Jackson.

Have the same story, but with some hollywood clishé in it. It´s pretty silly realy, they added new scenes and stuff to get to the modern audience. This new version is actualy very good though. The directing is fantastic and so is the cinematagrophy. The acting is good from some of the actors. and the script is as i said a little clishé. I recomend this for anyone who can sit down and watch it for 3 hours.

I am a huge fan of the original 1933 King Kong. I believe it to be a classic film that revolutionized the film industry in general. So I was following this remake for a while. I got a chance to see it when it came out, and it actually ended up turning out pretty good. Will it overtake the original? Hell no. The original is still a genuinely better movie and no remake is going to change that. But at least it gives up a fighting chance against it.

The visual effects are for the most part, amazing. WETA pulled off a hell of a job on this film. Though one can see where Peter Jackson went a little overboard.

The acting in this is pretty good, too. Naomi Watts is no Fay Wray, but she's still pretty good. As is Jack Black.

Overall, King Kong is definitely one of the better remakes out there. My only real problem is with the ridiculous length of this film.

If you haven't seen King Kong before, skip this and go see the original. But if you have, this film is a refreshing treat.

This movie is astounding! It is emotional, action packed, and introduces audiences to many different characters that one can't help but care about by the end of the film.

The old King Kong film classic way back in 1933, and done with some darn spellbinding animation by Ray Harryhausen, is what I call, a timeless classic, this re-make by one of the best directors known to man: Peter Jackson, is surprisingly quite souless. The problem with King Kong, is well, there are just too much dinosaurs and monsters in this movie, and a little too much special effects, sidetracks from why King Kong is such an icon: the realtionship between a beast and the human. Too much monsters and too much special effects have all the screen-time, and, there is literally no screen-time with the big hairy guy and the actress herself like the original. Peter Jackson clearly didn't understand King Kong, plain and simple. The director giving the island creepy people a cookie though was funny in the movie!
