Lord of War takes you inside the gun trade of one man named Yuri Orlov who is brilliantly acted by Nicolas Cage. This movie makes you think about how gun running can deeply impact everyone involved. Cage's character gets so deep in the business he works directly for the South African president and the U.S. president. He lies to his wife and constantly being pursued by Jack Valentine played brilliantly by Ethan Hawke. Every character is well portrayed and even comedic. Jared Leto plays Vitaly with some great comedic humor and some pretty good acting. The story is really well told for what it gives you and Andrew Niccol does fine directing. You can call it political but Cage's character deals guns to everyone making him almost immune to any type of arms law. Even when something terrible happens he still continues to sell guns illegally despite the effect of what just happened. This is why he does it. Because he's good.

Such a great film! I have a hard time finding good dramas to watch because I'm more of a horror kind of girl, but this one is hard not to love.

The whole movie keeps you interested. With an orginal plot about a guns dealer running into problems on and off the job. The writing was great and the acting was great.

It does things that most other movies don't do. It has man with a serious and life-threatening job and it shows the impact that this job has on him, his family, and the entire world.

One of the best movies you will ever see. This is definitely one you shouldn't miss out on.

Good film, though it did not get the credit and the attention it deserved this movie reflect a lot of things. It is a strong film that talks about a man that sells guns to the most important people on wars and other things alike. The last conversation of the film when Yuri says that he is a "necessary evil" is something very well written and played, and what makes this movie so great is the fact that he is right, and the fact is that we need to start seeing our world the way that it is turning into. Another good point of the movie is that, Yuri does not do the right thing, he does what he does best. Very good movie, very strong, and one of Nicolas Cage's best.
