In this remake of the 1966 film starring Michael Caine, Alfie (Jude Law) is a well-dressed, suave and womanizing, New York City limousine chauffeur. Most of the beautiful women he meets are his clients that he ends up having a one-night stand with, be it in his limo or in a penthouse, and when the morning comes, he is left alone and he thinks that life is good. However, Alfie makes a major mistake when he sleeps with the ex-girlfriend (Nia Long) of his best friend and colleague (Omar Epps). After this major error in his life, Alfie comes to realize that he has missed out on the little things that make women truly beautiful and he is forced to wonder if his fast-paced, bachelor lifestyle is what he really wants out of life. Alfie then settles for a 50-year-old business woman (Susan Sarandon), who may just give him a taste of his own medicine.
