Olympic moment for comedy director

Reuters
With less than impressive comic credits, will Segal go for the gold?

Peter Segal, who most recently directed Adam Sandler in "The Longest Yard," is attached to shoot a comedy about the first Olympics.

Plot details for the tentatively titled "I, Thalus" are being kept under wraps. The Universal project will be written by brothers Craig and Jeff Cox, whose figure skating comedy "Blades of Glory," starring Will Ferrell, is scheduled for release in March.

Segal's other credits include "50 First Dates," "Anger Management" and "Nutty Professor II: The Klumps."
