Basically the film is set just a few years after the events of the game and now a new threat looms over Midgar, a group of youths, known as Remnants are trying, essentially, to resurrect Sephiroth and the film pretty much revolves around this. -Good graphic
-Good plot
-Good characters
A film worthy of anyones DVD collection. BUY THIS FILM!

Epic, that's the only word I can think of to describe this movie. This movie has the best visuals in any CGI movie ever. It has some really amazing audio. The soundtrack is amazing, I actually have some of it on my mp3 player. The voice acting is good. The fight scenes are downright fantastic, the fight scenes are just too epic to comprehend in just one viewing, I've watched this movie about 10 times and it still blows me away every time. I think the story is a little lacking, but I don't really care because this movie is fun to watch.

This movie is awesome! i am a massive fan of the Final Fantasy series, FFVII being one of my favourites and it was nice to see more storyline that was not in the game! the animation is perfect and almost looks real in parts! very good! =)

Not that it matters since one doesn't really watch this movie for its story, if there is any. For fans of the game though, the movie would definitely make more sense as there are inside jokes only the people who have played the game would get. For the rest of us, just sit back and enjoy the spectacular fight scenes and the breathtakingly beautiful animation and choreography.

Those without any prior knowledge of the Final Fantasy 7 story will be totally left in the dark here. Even manga/anime fans may be lost without having played Final Fantasy 7. But the movie is still very entertaining. The action sequences are well made and the story is very intriguing. It's great to know to what happened to the FF7 cast. Also the graphics are very impressive. Not as real to life as Spirits Within was but still astonishing in its own good. Speaking of Spirits Within, Squaresoft should have made Advent Children instead and Square Picture might have not gone brankrupt. It's a must-see to any FF7 fan.
