Brilliant animated classic from Ralph Bakshi, master of animation, faithfully and appropriately retells Tolkien's story in a way that he would have definitely loved. Accurate to the book, well animated, and well acted, with a brilliant screenplay...

This animated version of The Lord of the Rings was really awkward. It didn't seem to have an ending and the voices all sounded strange.

Incomplete and utterly odd adaptation of the classic novels. The film covers the portions of the first two books, but ends abruptly. Thankfully Peter Jackson's films came along to fulfill the whole in the stomach this film created. However this...
