I can't award this film any high points for its special effects: even by the standards of the time, they were primitive, to say the least. However, it is valuable for its simple and straightforward approach to the subject, alleged government coverups of alien landings. The people trying to crack the secrets just want the truth. It avoids sophistication but replaces it with a plot you can follow. Try to find that in today's blow-stuff-up extravaganzas. For all its humble status, this film has its own share of charm. Now that's something.
