With a name like Sin City,I think you know what to expect. This aint a walk in the park to say the least. Prepare yourself cuz where youre goin there aint no comin back. Sin City is a place where crime,violence,sex, and drugs rule the streets.

Not for the squeamish, this movie takes the graphic from graphic novel and brings it to life. So keep the kids away, this one puts batman to shame,actualy its more like Dick Tracy's worst nightmare times 10.

Its darker than most any action movie you've ever seen and littered with mature dialouge and adult situations.

Frank Miller's original work is given the grand treatment and kept in style of his universe using the extreme conrast of absolute black and white with the occasional splash of red for flavor. You might say its the ultimate fanboy service as the characters and events from the novel are portrayed in great detail with the help of a truely all star cast.

Divded into 3 stories, each one of them tells a different tale of revenge, leaving behind it a stock pile of dead bodies.

For those of you that prefer your fiction with a heavy helping of Doom and Gloom, you will certainly get your fill. Theres truck loads of action and bravado,not to mention the guts and glory.

If guns,hookers, and fist fights are your thing, Sin City is to die for, otherwise,repent now and save yourself.

Very cool movie based on an awesome set of comics. Frank Miller is just plain awesome...why don't they adapt some of his earlier Batman work already?!? DKR dammit, DKR!!!

Probably the best film in ages a unique,brilliant,beautiful,and violent piece of art from Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez.Sin City contains some of the most beautiful visuals that are mostly black and white with highlighted colour creating an original,sleek,stylized look.The gigantic cast which includes Mickey Rourke,Bruce Willis,Clive Owen,Jessica Alba,Elijah Wood,Brittany Murphy and dozens of other big stars all give faithful and stunning performances particularly Mickey Rourke.Based on the graphic novel series Sin City is 3 separate stories of love,passion,betrayal,anger,violence,justice,and redemption.One follows a police officer who winds up being framed as a rapist when in fact he was the one who saved the little girl,another follows an ugly man who spends one night with a friendly hooker who is killed while sleeping,another is about a clandestine lady's man whose sole mission is to protect them from what they've already protected themselves from.Every story is a bloody tale of revenge with kills and death scenes more gruesome than Saw or The Devil's Rejects.The action is comic book style bar brawls,and contains plenty of gun action and hand to hand combat.The number one thing though is the violence is so brutal it becomes beautiful just by the way the film shows it.Generally you don't look at a man holding a severed head and say "gee that looks like a really good painting" but Sin City finds a way to make every frame look like gorgeous Gothic art.The dialog is 100% percent film noir and totally Quentin Tarantino like who by the way directs one brilliant scene in the film as a guest.Basically if you found Kill Bill,Domino,Pulp Fiction,From Dusk till Dawn,or Reservoir Dogs entertaining Sin City will please you guaranteed.

Sin City is a movie shot in a graphic novel style and is based on several of these types of novels by Frank Miller. The three novels are: "Sin City," "The Big Fat Kill," and "That Yellow Bastard" with an addition of a short titled "The Customer is Always Right."

Many big names were working on this film including: Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Elijah Wood, Benicio Del Toro, and even guest director Quentin Tarantino among others.

Sin City didn't have interweaving stories. Most of the characters' stories are presented straight through with some characters, like Kevin (Elijah Wood), being alive again after being killed earlier in the movie. This wasn't a big deal and didn't hurt the film in any way for me.

My favorite character was Marv (Mickey Rourke), who would always have a sense of humor even after and usually while receiving a major beating. I also enjoyed the story of Bruce Willis' character Hartigan. It was interesting how both parts of the movie that dealt with Hartigan were very similar, but still different at the same time. Both parts ended with roughly the same line. "An old man dies. A young girl lives. A fair trade."

If you are into a different style of movie or liked Kill Bill, then I highly recommend that you see Sin City.

a real action romp,a guy film in all aspects, the noir aspect is amazing, and the coloring is amazing on the big screen , it is an expirience the film itself could be consider art, not just entertainment, the charcters were transferred beautifully
