Third in the "National Lampoon" series about the Griswold family. Clark Griswold loves Christmas. He loves the finding of the tree and the setting up of the lights. He always wants to be the brighest house on the street and loves spending time with his family and mostly he loves his Christmas bonus from work. Clark starts getting ready for Christmas while Ellen, his wife, Audrey, his daughter and Rusty, his son are not quite as happy. Clark's and Ellen's families begin to show up. Clark goes about his merry way thinking of his Christmas bonus and the pool he is going to have put in with it. But things don't go as planned. Things start to happen that are unexplained to Clark. Things go from bad to worse when Clark's brother shows up in his camper with his family. What could go wrong did. Then to put the icing on the cake Clark got his letter for his Christmas bonus. Excited to see how much it is he tears it open. He is quite stunned to see what is inside. His brother takes matters into his own hands to resolve the issue. The Griswolds do have a happy ending in spite of these shortcomings.
