Man, Mel Gibson took guts whilst making this movie. Mel Gibson actually shows here what happened to Jesus, and was not at all magical as the Bible exclaims. As most Mel Gibson fans and movie enthusiasts know, Gibson is a strong Christain, and what he made here, purely shows his strong belief in religion and how strongly what he thinks of the event in his perspective.

Overall, The Passion of Christ is a movie to be missable for anybody with weak heart or for any strong christains or believers, no doubt this movie will harm those audiences, but, if you're not, and see Mel Gibson as a truly expressive artist in this form, see this movie right away.

If you want to waste two hours of your life watch the movie, I'll watch CZW, they have weedwhackers there.

I for one, applaud Mel Gibson for going forward with this project, likely knowing how incredibly controversial it would end up. It takes guts to make a movie like this, and he did an outstanding job.

The movie itself was nothing short of a masterpiece, true and real. From the set and costume designs, to the acting and cinematics; every technical aspect about this movie is grade-A. The graphic realism and true historical story literally moved me when I saw this in theaters. When I walked out of the movie, after it was over, I felt like I had literally been crushed by a tidal wave of every emotion I have ever felt... that is the best way I can describe it. Granted I am a Christian, so this movie may mean more to me than it does to others, but even if I were not, this movie brings to light what many people attempt to deny about the persecution of a man that took place in history.

I highly recommend any adult going to see this movie, whether they are Christian or not, leave the kiddies at home though... the blatantly graphic violence is abundant, and even out-does Braveheart. I do not believe the movie was Anit-Semitic at all, it was simply telling the truth of historical events like they've never been represented before on the big screen. The truth is not often an easy thing to swallow, as we can clearly see here.

But the movie does a great job of telling the story and conveying the emotions of this biblical event.
