A really good movie that shows that one person who has got dedication can make a differance. Coach Carter wanted to help these kids and that is what he does when he gave them that contract and the best thing of it all is that they wanted it as well.. They did not like it in the begining but they learned to live with it and they knew it was all for them.

There parents did not understand it either when there was the lock up they only saw the big picture which was basketball but they did not see what Coach Carter saw and that is education and dicipline. Coach Cater made all the differance in there lives and that is why they succeeded at the end...

Based on a true story, Coah Carter is more about the social problems facing the poor black students in the states than the sport of basketball. While the movie is mediocre in all the artistic aspects, it's message is important and inspirational....

Based on a true story, Coah Carter is more about the social problems facing the poor black students in the states than the sport of basketball. While the movie is mediocre in all the artistic aspects, it's message is important and inspirational. Yes, the movie is emotionally manipulative with its embarrassingly corny dialogue and cliched storylines, but its message about the failure of the American education system to help the black students ("it's designed for them to fail") and how important education is to stop the cycle of violence and poverty in the black community makes the movie worth watching.

I loved this movie.Basketball is great and so was the game in there.One of the best movies I have ever seen. 5 stars.
