True Crime is what this movie ventures on, especially when Frank is accused and convicted of a capitol crime of which he claims he didn't do. Steve (Clint Eastwood) is a washed up laywer and a drunk who gets assigned to cover the death of Frank but when he arrives at the jail and talks to Frank he changes his mind about the murder. He believes Frank and goes to work to prove his innocence.
