This movie was released one year before Brokedown Palace (1999) but didn't receive the same attention it did, unfortunately. Return to paradise is about 3 guys who go to Malaysia to have a good time with sex drugs and whatever comes between. Two of the 3 friends (Sherif & Tony) end of leaving to return to their normal lives while the last (Lewis) one stays to go to a animal rights protest, only he never makes it. 2 years pass and Sherif & Tony have already settled in to their lives again when they find out that Lewis has been in prison the last two years because shortly after they left police found 105 grams of Hashish where the 3 stayed to party and tried Lewis for trafficking. Now Sherif & Tony must decide whether or not to return to share some of the sentencing or let their friend be executed. This movie was really hard to track down, I couldn't get it at rogers or blockbuster anywhere so I bought it online for $9 and it was well worth it. Throughout the movie it's hard to tell what the characters are going to go back as obviously its a very difficult decision to make, and it keeps you entertained until the end. The ending is powerful with a little bit of Hollywood style to it but not too much to ruin it. The movie is definitely underrated in North America and I would suggest it to to anyone.
