Mildred, the owner, her spoilt daughter Veda. and Wally Fey, an old friend of the family. Mildred suspects her daughter is guilty, so takes responsibility, only to find that the police have other idea's. A superb comeback for Joan Crawford, who wins a well deserved best actress Oscar.
