I really liked this movie. It's another masterpiece by Tomino.

First of all it's a little weird how Char is once again the bad guy. I mean in Zeta he was on the good side, although in Zeta he does show some of his views which really fit in well here. It's nice to see Amuro as the central character again too. There isn't actually that much to say about Amuro in this movie. He tries his very very best to stop Earth being damaged by Axis, and he wants to settle his rivalry with Char. Char's a bit different here to how he was in Zeta, here he shows more of his personality.

Bright was pretty much as he was in all the other Gundam series. Hathaway seemed to get involved in the plot a lot too, seemed like a main character after Amuro and Char. Quess was quite an annoying character, although I thought that it might of been slightly better for the story had she survived a little bit longer. Gyunei seems pretty obsessed with Quess as is Hathaway.

I would of liked to have seen Sayla in this movie though to attempt to stop Char, as well as Kamille who could of been used well in this movie. I thought there were too many new characters as well, it would of been better if Tomino had let a few survive in Zeta, he could of used them here.

Almost everything was good in this movie, the plot is well done, and I thing the battles are better than those in Zeta and ZZ. I recommend this movie, but I really think you need to see either the original or Zeta Gundam to get to know the background a bit better between Amuro and Char before you watch this, but it sure is worth it.
