Here it is, folks. Easily one of the greatest, most important horror films in history, 'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre' (that's "Chain Saw", not "Chainsaw"). In fact, it might just be the single greatest horror film of all time. This brutal, terrifying, impeccably acted masterpiece that has only got better with age is one of the first horror films you should ever see if you're looking to get into the genre.

That final scene is one of, or possibly the greatest, most intense and terrifying horror scene in history. The film builds up the horror subtly and in a very effective way with creepy visuals in the house and incredibly realistic acting and suddenly everything pays off so effectively. 'The Texas Chain Saw Massacre', along with 'Psycho', 'The Exorcist', 'Night of the Living Dead' and 'Last House on the Left', will always be among the most important horror films of all time, and it's hard to think about the state of films today had it never been made.

I mean everything works so perfectly in this movie. The casting, the lighting, the gore; they all sync effortlessly with each other. The Excorist may have been shocking while Halloween was suspensful, but they do not compare to the amount of terror that you feel throughout the entireity of The Texas Chainsaw Masacre.

Leatherface will be remembered by all as the most chilling horror movie character to ever grace celluoid.

This is a Horror classic, very creepy movie and the fact that its based on a true story aswell gives it that more scary, creepy edge. This movie will keep you on the edge of your seat.

The sets, the construction of furniture using real animal remains/bones, the nerve jarring soundtrack and of course 'Leatherface' himself are all from the mind of a pure cinematic genius.
