Judy is on a family vacation with her father and step-mother when the car breaks down, and they take refuge in a nearby house inhabited by dollmaker Gabriel Hartwicke and his wife. Although Judy's step-mother is less than gracious, the Hartwicke's open their home not only to them, but also businessman Ralph Morris and the two hitchhikers he picked up earlier, Isabel and Enid. As the night goes on, the body count rises...it seems there is something in the house that doesn't like it when people are mean to the dolls.
