As a teen in the 80's this film was way cool. I wanted to see Gene act (The first, if not, one of them). He was fair, nothing to be ashamed of, but could stick to the music. Tom played a cool cop here. He held up the movie (pun intended). I thought Kristie was georgous. At the time of release, I would probably give this movie a 4 out of 5. It is now dated. The special effects are poor compared to present day CGI. Besides Tom, the acting was marginal. Definitely for male teens and/or 80's retro people.
