Released mere months after the original Pink Panther, A Shot in the Dark reunites Blake Edwards and Peter Sellers with the Inspector Clouseau series, and sees the Inspector investigating a murder in the country. The evidence points to the lovely maid of the house, but the smitten Inspector attempts to clear her name, unfortunately putting himself at the wrong place at the wrong time, much to the chagrin of Dreyfus.
