Again mostly I'm never into Sports film, But Rookie of the year has to be my favorite. How funny is it that a kid break his arm and when it got better he throw a baseball like a pro pitcher! Good casting with a good storytelling. It's great for the whole family. The actor who played Marv from Home alone direct this movie. I give it four stars.

Rookie of the Year is a great movie by Daniel Stern, its about a boy named Henry Rowengartner a little leaguer who's about to hit the big times after a freak accident that give him in incredible gift, the ability to throw 100 m.p.h fast balls.

So it begins the fame the fortune, but what makes Henry's story unique is he does not let it go to his head, and still wants to spend time with his friends, though the same can't be said about his mom's boyfriend.

Rookie of the Year features such talents as John Candy, Gary Busey, Dan Hedaya, Eddie Bracken, Amy Morton, Thomas Ian Nicholas, and of course Daniel Stern.

The cast rounds out the movie and combined with humor make this movie a baseball classic, showing Daniel Stern can directed as well as he can act.

Vary good family comedy about baseball. The baseball comedy spots are awesome and very well done. It has an excellent message of friendship being more important and longer lasting than fame.
