Just because it shifted the focus onto a new cast of characters does not make it a bad film. Hey, at least they did it a lot better than X-Men 3 did.

Absolutely great film ! I loved it, cuz of it's great story, theaction and the jokes :) Oh...and cuz we actually paid 4 another film but went to watch Blade (underaged :-) )

I know its a comic-book movie but they could have taken it a bit more seriously.

Look at the difference between the moods of this one and the first Blade movie. I like Ryan Reynolds but it was the Ryan Reynolds show and every once in a while they would break for action relief.

Its a somewhat fun movie to watch overall but if you're a fan of the series, you may be a little disappointed in the direction they've taken. Slapstick.

I start with a word: AGGHHH!

What the hell was that! The series was going great but it seemed like they where trying to phase out Blade to bring in the Darkstalkers, why? People came to this movie expecting Blade kicking anus as the last two flicks but instead we're stuck with Ryan Reynolds flinging one liners and listening to Parker Posey struggle with the material and her fangs. There was almost no direction for the audience to follow, no focus villian and no reason to keep watching after the first 5 minutes. Big miss and a lousy way to close out the series.

I loved the first two Blade films--this one just goes in the worst conceivable direction over and over again until you can't help but laugh at it, specifically for two reasons. One, it has the most amazingly blatant and over-the-top product placement of any film in recent memory with its constant displays of Apple products, going so far as to having the main heroine put together a playlist for her iPod before the gigantic sequence of asskickery at the end (and, I'm sorry, but if you're putting Jurassic 5 on a soundtrack for mass vampire killings, you're doing something very wrong).

Also, the film deserves some kind of award for the most ludicrous casting of a film since Luc Besson made Tiny "Zeus" Lister the President of Earth in the Fifth Element. Jessica Biel and Ryan Reynolds (AKA our generation's Chevy Chase) as ass kicking vampire hunters? Parker Posey as an evil vampiress who growls through every sentence like a horny country club cougar after downing five gin and tonics? That guy from Prison Break (no, the OTHER guy) as mother &%$*ing Dracula? Natasha Lyonne? James Remar? John Michael Higgins? Eric Bogosian? Patton Oswalt? TRIPLE H?!?!? Ye gods, someone give Ronnie Yeskel (the casting agent) a trophy.

Beyond that, it's a vampire hunting sitcom with action sequences that are just as exciting as watching Kris Kristofferson sleepwalk his way through his mercifully few scenes. At least someone knew this movie wasn't a good idea.

The third Blade movie comes with a third director, and also continues the downward trend of the series. In Blade Trinity, the vampires have found the burial site of Dracula, and also found that he's not quite dead. While a Blade V. Dracula movie would seem cool, especially since Dracula is the original of the species, it doesn't quite get off the ground as who they picked to protray the dark lord doesn't look the part and seems to sympathetic. The movie also introduces the Nightstalkers, a group of vampire hunters whos roster includes a very good looking Jessica Biel and the smack-talking of Ryan Reynolds. Biel does a good job, but Reynolds character gets too annoying when all he does is spurt out one-liner after one-liner. The main villains, aside from Drake (as they call Dracula in the movie) include a thin Parker Posey who just seems to be there. Well aside from the character bashings, the movie centers around the fact that a disease has been found that can eradicate the vampires once and for all, among the Blade V. Dracula subplot. When it gets to the action scenes, they are, well, badly done. I'm point to exhibit A, the ultimate fight between Blade and Dracula. Not very well done. When the movie ends you really don't care that much.

In conclusion, Blade Trinity is a big disappointment for all those Blade fans. This isn't a fitting end to a trilogy. There are better choices when it comes to watching a movie.

Very dissapointing.

The villians were tacky and very one dimensional, Blade's helpers were all very forgetable, and even Wesley Snipes looked like he couldn't give a damn about the movie.

Definately one to avoid.
