A typical zombie movie with your average blood and moaning undead. The movie isn't as dark as other zombie movies often giving you a bit of uplifting feelings in the zombie ridden world. Spine chilling in some scenes but the ending was even more surprising as the survivors make their way towards their safehaven.

Even though I never seen the original I love this one . Vhing Rhames did great job as Kenneth the police officer and Jake was a great Micheal and I like the Chemistry between him and Sarah Polley :)

The only parts I dont like is when they had to shoot the guy with his then zombie wife luda and their baby and Vhing having to shoot Matthew Frewer's character. Other than that I loved the montages , the beginning where they show how everyone got infected and tht montage in the middle where they show everyone doing something different so they dont get bored lol. My fave part is Andy I thought he was a terrific shot and I thought he would be one of those who got away but alas I was wrong.

Great movie.

It ended giving me the chills, giving me back that eerie, creeped out feeling that I used to love getting from zombie movies.

Watching the reanimated dead was originally intended to play on our fears of human corpses along with the fear of dying, I was glad to see that happen again.
