Peggy Gravel, fresh out of the mental hospital, has a mental fit at home, which results in her behemoth maid/nurse Grizelda Brown sitting on her husband, killing him. Peggy and Grizelda flee the law by going to the town of Mortville, a place where killers live free. It is presided over by Queen Carlotta, who amuses herself by humiliating the townspeople. Peggy and Grizelda rent a room from lesbians Muffy St. Jacques and Mole McHenry, and Peggy quickly loses what little sanity she has left in the town of depravity. When Queen Carlotta's daughter, Princess Coo-Coo, escapes to marry a nudist garbageman, Peggy takes her place next to The Queen, where they plan on injecting the town with rabies.
