I haven't seen the other Crow movies yet, but I just saw this one, and it really touched my heart.

My girlfriend told me I should see The Crow, because she liked it a lot and I would like it too. Today I spotted Wicked Prayer in the TV-guide and when it said it was the 4th Crow movie I was surprised. I didn't know they made more than one or maybe two. I had only heard of it before and I didn't know what it was about. I considered whether I should watch it now or if I should watch the 3 first movies first, and I checked the IMDb ratings to help me with my decision.

I got very surprised with the terribly low ratings for the 3 sequels, and the first one was high as I expected. The 4th had the lowest rating, and I thought "nah forget it, I'll skip it". After further investigation of the TV-guide it appeared to me I didn't actually have much choice, cause there weren't anything else of interest. So I thought I'd give it a go, the worst thing that could happen was that it gave me a laugh or that I'd so bored I'd turn the TV off. A movie with that incredibly low rating could only be that incredibly bad or that incredibly good.

The intro stroked me as a standard TV-movie, and it looked like a typical action movie, so I thought I was in for some good-old mass-produced entertainment. Then we got introduced to the love couple and I thought "hey this movie actually got some feelings in it" and I was positively surprised. Boreanaz acted surprisingly good for the villain, and also his gang, those unsympathetic psychos. Oh how he made me hate him, and I'm not even a Christian or anything, I'm an atheist and some people might even classify ME as a "satanist".

From there on I decided I had to watch it to the end of it, cause I wanted to see if he was gonna get away with it.

I was very satisfied by this movie, and I'm very glad I watched it. The characters made me feel what they felt. Love, pain, sadness, anger, blood thirst. I didn't detect any major flaws, and I'm pretty sure the low rating is only caused by people comparing it to it's prequels which I haven't seen yet myself. And see them I definitely will.
