Gaston Lachaille (Louis Jourdan) has one thing to say about his luxurious life: "It's A Bore." He is tired of the rich life he is living and the women he dates. It is the same old same old for him, except when he is with Madame Alvarez and Gigi (Leslie Caron). Gaston never knows what to expect. Gigi is this happy-go-lucky, cheerful, young girl who, by the help of her wealthy grandmother, turns into a gracious lady. Gaston is unhappy with the change, but then he realizes it's not that bad. He falls in love with her and takes her into his rich lifestyle.
