Doc Erwin Riedenschneider, just been released from prison, immediately starts on his latest heist, a jewelry store. He sets to assembling his team, a group of men consisting of a tough guy, a bar owner and a family man. The robbery is a success and Dix and Doc take the jewels to their buyer, 'Lon' Emmerich. Unfortunately, the fence does not have the money, but he does have a plan: coercing the group into giving him the jewels. Little accidents accumulate and each partner proves to have his own fatal weakness.
