I saw Vanishing Point in the theatre when it first came out. The fact that it's on elong chase scene kept my attention. Not much of a plot but the action is so compellng it doesn't detract from the film. What really got me was the ending, WOW, after all that happens,what an ending. If you haven't seen it, it's worth watching just to see the end. You won't believe it.
