Hayao Miyazaki, director of such classic animated films such as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, and Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, strikes again with Castle of Cagliostro. Castle of Calgiostro features the infamous thief Lupin the 3rd, and is a small departure for Miyazaki as this is one of the rare films that he directs that the characters he didn't create. Lupin the 3rd, for the curious, is Japan's James Bond type character, yet instead of being in espionage, he's into burglary. But nevertheless, Miyazaki has crafted a master action/adventure tale that will leave you glued to the screen. Initially released in 1979, the animation stands the test of time and even surpasses many of today's.

Overall this is a fantastic film and if you love animated adventures, then you've found one of the genre's best. The voice acting is very strong and there is plenty of humor and action to keep you glued to your seat.
