The Company features a series of docudrama like events that focus on Neve Campbell as a young dancer working to be successful in a dance company in New York and Malcolm McDowell as a controlling ogre of a company director. Interspersed with these dramatic sequences are the performances of the company itself. The plot itself is almost like a nature film in that we see these creatures in short, slice-of-life sequences, witness their destruction as they are gobbled up by the art form they love in a survival of the fittest environment.
