I'd have to say that this movie wasn't what I was expecting, but then I can't exactly remember what I was expecting. Stephen's verdict was that I should hire "normal" DVD's from now on.
I found this to be a beautiful and moving film of apocalyptic proportions. In the weeks since I watched the DVD, I have often found myself thinking about it. A strange thing to say for a zombie film that could easily pass for an episode of Spooks: Code 9. (Yes, I am aware that Spooks: Code 9 came out long after this film). This film is just different and the cinematography is really dark and sweeping. I really related to Jim's struggle as he tried to come to terms with a world completely different to the one he had left behind when he went into a coma four weeks earlier. Jim is played by the gorgeous and brilliant Cillian Murphy. Definitely an actor to keep an eye on in the future.

This movie is easily the best horror flick made in the last decade or so. I normally despise horror movies. The genre is pretty much dead and will never win major recognition from the Academy or any other major awards. It seems that 28 Days Later...

This movie is easily the best horror flick made in the last decade or so. I normally despise horror movies. The genre is pretty much dead and will never win major recognition from the Academy or any other major awards. It seems that 28 Days Later was the last real shot. It had just the right amount of scary moments, suspenseful directing to make the viewer begin to fright over what could happen. The unsuspecting occured. The main shot in the beginning (London evacuated) was one of the greatest feats for director Danny Boyle and his crew in recent film history. To be able to make one of the major cities in the world look completely ransacked and lonesome was incredible to watch and I congratulate them. The character depth was incredible. It was very easy to understand and enjoy each of the four or five main characters. And of course, the final 20-25 minutes of the film were incredible with John Murphy's "In the House, In a Heartbeat" instrumental track mixing in and timing perfectly with the tone and actions of the movie, 28 Days Later easily marks itself as the best horror/thriller of the 21st century.

not that great doesnt even compare to george a Remeros zombie films I mean it was alright but there should have been more action Ive seen the sequel and its much better

This is a fantastic movie from start to finish. well made and great acting.
