What would you do if you knew you only had 24 hours left of freedom? Well Spike Lee created a really entertaining answer. The 25th Hour depicts the last day of freedom for Monty Brogan (Edward Norton) before he begins serving a seven-year prison stay for dealing drugs. Monty decides to spend one last night on the town with his two best friends Frank Slaughtery (Barry Pepper), Jacob Elinsky (Philip Seymour Hoffman), and his girlfriend Naturelle Riviera (Rosario Dawson). Besides having a great cast with three of my favorite actors the story was very good. I really like the dialogue between the three guys at the end. Also, Spike Lee's ending was really enjoyable.

25th Hour is a twisted movie. Spike Lee does a great job of capturing the change in New York after 9/11. Hate Ed Norton, love Ed Norton, you have to admit the he is talented. Monty Brogan is very complex character to play and Norton does a fantastic job of bringing that character to life, especially in the **** You" monologue. The rest of the cast was a perfect fit too. The plot was good, but the best part of the film was the script. The script was absolutely incredible. Good movie overall.
