Well, if there's one thing Jerry Bruckheimer knows, it's action. This producer is making quite a name for himself with the action movies he's doing.
This sequel was a long time coming, but I liked it better than the first one. Will Smith and Martin Laurence play cops who's partnership results in most of the comedy of the movie. Smith is the gung-ho, trigger-happy ladies man who gets the duo into all sorts of hairy situations. Martin is the family man with a wife and kids. Martin is less enthusiastic to get into stressful gun fights and the constant fighting between the two makes you wonder how they have been able to stay partners for so long.
This time around, they are on the trail of the biggest smuggler of Ecstasy in the country. In the process, they have a destructive run-in with a local Jamaican gang and find themselves surrounded by a KKK ceremony.
As I said, Bruckheimer knows his action, and there are not one, not two, but three big car chases in Bad Boys 2. The most spectacular of these even manages to top the mighty freeway chase from Matrix Reloaded as the two disfunctional partners fly down a highway in a beautiful Ferrari. They are chasing a couple of Jamaican gang members in a massive car carrier semi. The problem is that they keep releasing the cars, sending them tumbling into the road to collide with even more cars. There are some great near misses that are shown with cool cinematography and make you jump in your seat! Awesome stuff.
Basically, Bad Boys 2 is two and a half hours (quite long) of mindless action. What saves it is the fact that it is well executed. The comedy of Will Smith and Martin Laurence also help make the movie easily accessible.

In my opinion this is the best action-comedy movie ever made. Yes, in that film we'll see maybe nothing that we haven't already saw, but it is made on a way which makes the movie unique. Will Smith makes a perfect play under the A+ directing from...

In my opinion this is the best action-comedy movie ever made. Yes, in that film we'll see maybe nothing that we haven't already saw, but it is made on a way which makes the movie unique. Will Smith makes a perfect play under the A+ directing from Michael Bay.
Watching this movie is really a pleasure and not just the first time.
