Lost in Translation will feel right at home to those who watched Before Sunrise/Sunset. To those unfamiliar with the premise, no worries, it's still a movie that does many things right. First, the cinematography. Each scene and scenario is framed with perfectly. There are scenes that go on for moments, allowing the viewer to sink in to the film's setting, feeling as if they were right there with the characters. Secondly, there's the characters, so central to the story and so richly portrayed by the leading actors. Then there's the setting, hilariously portrayed without being offensive, and with a big heart. One could tell that the filmmakers love the culture. fourth is the soundtrack, which fits in perfectly with each scenario. In short, Lost in Translation won't change any lives, but it will delight the viewer. Watch it, because you owe it to yourself.

I love it. I didn't at first, but it really grew on me. I think I didn't understand it - the loneliness of being in what feels like a parallel universe. And anybody know what he actually says to her at the end of the film???? LOL

a good story about a frenship the stared in a far away place. this is a good movie. I would not like it but it is a good movie and i give it a 3 1/2 stars

I was surprised that I enjoyed "Lost in Translation." I'm not sure why I was surprised, but I think it had something to do with the fact that it was so very much over-hyped. That said, both Bill Murray and Scarlett Jo acted wonderfully...

I was surprised that I enjoyed "Lost in Translation." I'm not sure why I was surprised, but I think it had something to do with the fact that it was so very much over-hyped. That said, both Bill Murray and Scarlett Jo acted wonderfully in this movie. My only criticism was that the script felt drawn out.
