The movie begins in the past in 1983, where a boy named Charlie is about to become the stepson of a mobster named Salvatore "Sal" Maggio. On that same day, he met his new friend, Louis who saves him from drowning, and the mobster's apprentice Frankie Lombardo. Now 10 years later, Charlie has his own beauty salon, and Louis is still his closest friend. Adter they screw up in hiding some stolen goods resulting in some of Sal's men getting arrested, Sal gives Charlie and Louis one more chance, They have to deliver a package to Austrailia to a man named Mr. Smith. Once on the plane, Louis sneaks a peak into the package to find $50,000! On their way to Mr. Smith, they run over a kangaroo. Louis puts on his lucky jacket on the kangaroo. With Charlie's sunglasses, they think the kangaroo looks like Jackie Leggs. The kangaroo then comes back to life and hops away, but there's one problem: THE KANGAROO'S GOT THE MONEY! Charlie and Louis try everything to get the money. They finally get help from a lady named Jessie into helping them catch Kangaroo Jack. Out of the blue, they get attacked by Mr. Smith. Charlie and Louis outsmart him and his goons, only to find Frankie joins in the battle. After getting the money back from the kangaroo, they learn from Frankie that Sal really sent them to Austrailia to pay for their own execution! But all of the sudden, the police come at the right moment and arrest Frankie, Mr. Smith, and their goons and Charlie reclaims Louis' lucky jacket from Kangaroo Jack and he hops of with his family. One year later, Charlie and Jessie are married and sell their new shampoo, Sal Maggio is on trial, and Louis is Charlie's partner. As for Kangaroo Jack, he is still hoping around the outback.
