It's kind of strange when a dubbed movie is actually still just as funny when you hear the "What Are They Really Saying" track on the DVD. Definitely a MUST OWN. I hate how the advertisements for the movie when it came out showed the stupidest parts (the cow fight) because otherwise it's a very solid movie.

Throughout the years, parodies based on movies receive low ratings from critics but still receive amounts of praise from the fans. Kung Pow: Enter the fist is that standpoint. Basically what Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, is a parody from a 70's Kung Fu movie dubbed and turned into the cheesie comedic film.

Steve Oedekerk plays the Chosen One, who survived from the slaughter from Master Pain and grows up to become the chosen one. He trains many years to avenge his family and kill Master Pain. The humour in this film is just very cheesie in sort of ways: they generally spoof some films like the Martix, creates some dumb humour that sometimes is there to waste time and also makes fun of the dubbing.

In conclusion, Kung Pow: Enter the Fist is indeed a guility pleasure film for everyone but it doesn't quite fit for some people. This movie isn't a recommended purchase.

Like UHF this is a movie that shows that for comedy you need to be fun and clever, not vulgar and sick (Though it comes close a couple of times) and more often then not the plot only needs to be enough hold the jokes together. There jokes critics, not Shakespeare.

steve oedekirk is a comedy genius, i loved thumbs and i loved this film. dont take it seriously story wise, just sit back and enjoy the mayhem and childishness of the film

However fun and quotable this is, I can't recommend it to anyone. As a film, it really is baaaad, despite Oedekirk's crazed comedic genius.

  On the up side, there are some genuinely funny jokes, and Oedekerk has been wise enough to keep the running time down to 82 minutes, including the eight-minute closing credit sequence (which is worth staying through its entirety). But Kung Pow! is no "What's Up, Tiger Lily?"
