Yep, it's screwball, and for me, even more fun than "Bringing Up Baby" because it touches on more realistic subjects even if they are treated for comedic value. I also like this film as an early window into the post World War II suburban migration craze.

Grant is well-cast here, his genuine consternation at everything going wrong in his house construction is often believable and mostly funny. Myrna Loy is even better, a perfect wife of the time who actually has all the good sense in the family.

Sure, the housing market has changed over the decades, prices have skyrocketed, subcontractors work differently - but the comedy aside, this movie touches on some of the same issues that are still present in the modern world.

It's one of Carry Grant's best. And it's alot better than the crappy semi-remake with Ice Cube. Witty humor, a little bit of slapstick and a good movie for anyone.
