Oh what a mess is this movie. This movie has an all star cast with a minor league production value. I cannot believe how bad this movie was. Its very disappointing to see such great actors just wade through page after page of dialogue. Penn looks like he is painfully reading his dialogue and does not look like he wants to be there. The whole story is about a politican who goes from good to bad. It shows his rise and fall in politics. The problem with the movie is that it gets so caught up on how good it is supposed to be that it never gets off of the starting point. I would suggest renting the original movie and passing this one. Not even the great cast can save this at best mediocre movie.

I think it was average, the novel is certainly interesting, but the movie kind of lacking of some important things that could have been so much better, most of the critics did not like it, I think that it was okay, but I must say that this movie...

I think it was average, the novel is certainly interesting, but the movie kind of lacking of some important things that could have been so much better, most of the critics did not like it, I think that it was okay, but I must say that this movie is kind of underrated, I don't think it was that awful to get a 37/100 here on Filmspot. But still, it was good.
