"An entirely unoriginal, but very entertaining slasher flick."

'Wrong Turn' is not much more than your standard teenage slasher flick, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad. It's extremely unoriginal and uncreative; the plot is...stolen, you might say, from 'The Hills Have Eyes' and 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', but I think its decent in its own way. I really did enjoy it. It's incredibly violent and gory, and entertaining (I can't remember a single dull scene), the acting is decent, and it has very good cinematography.

Overall, I wasn't overly impressed, and this film's equally gruesome direct-to-DVD sequel 'Wrong Turn 2: Dead End' is surprisingly a whole lot better, but still, if you're looking for a good late night horror movie, if they're out of copies for 'Wrong Turn 2', pick up this one.

It wasn't really scary at any point in time because they didn't build up the suspense ever and from the onset of the film, it was very obvious as to who was slated to die and who would live. They also didn't try and add depth to the characters, which meant that when they did die, I really didn't care. I wasn't pulling for them to be killed off, but I also wasn't going to care if they did live, it was simply indifference. Overall I've seen a a considerable number of horror films that are way better then this one.

I really liked this move; it’s probably one of the best slash films I’ve seen. Now keep in mind, this is a slash film, not a ‘guess who the killer is’. We don’t know who the killers are and we don’t care. All we know is three inbreed, cannibalistic mutant brothers are out to kill anyone who takes the wrong turn down their road. So if you’re in the mood for a good gory massacre for no reason, rent this gem. Also, be sure to stay for the end of the credits for a final scare.
