Really good film with Gael Garcia Bernal and direct by Walter Salles.
Hard not wanting to travel for Latin America after this film. Beautiful people and worderfull images!

This movie is not about the time in Che Guevara's life when he was leading the Cuban Revolution. This film shows you the light-hearted, humorous young man he was before he realized his calling in life was to help the people of Latin America to fight back against the widespread injustice against the lower classes. As he and his best friend, Alberto, make their way through Latin America on a motorbike "travelling just to travel" they discover more about their nation than they thought they ever would. By journey's end, Ernesto has made it his purpose in life to find a way to aid in uniting these divided countries. He is no longer himself.

Based upon the diary of Enersto "Che" Guevara, the film focuses on the journey of two close friends, El Che, and his best friend Alberto Granado, as they travel across South America in a motorcycle looking for fun and adventure.
The movie is a fun thrill ride bound to make you see how and asthamtic went from a normal boy to a revolutionary. Its comedy mixed with the harsh reality that is Latin America back then, and even today. I recommend this movie for all who have a small or big interest in the history of latin america.

  One thing few will disagree on is the quality of the film's acting, especially by Gael García Bernal as Guevara and Rodrigo de la Serna as his friend. Both effortlessly embody the footloose, sometimes feckless quality of this "On the Road"-style adventure.
