Set in a futuristic world, Woundings unfolds on a remote, post-apocalyptic island under rigid militaristic rule and occupied by the lonely and shell shocked soldiers who conquered it. Hoping to colonise the island, the Government has recruited young women from the mainland and sent them there to join the soldiers and help build a place they can call home.
