Arguably not as bad as Plan 9, it's not as good as Plan 9. Sure the film is more serious than Plan 9 could ever hope to be, but it's markably less enjoyable to watch, apart from the octopus scenes, and the final scene including Vornoff (Lugosi)...

Arguably not as bad as Plan 9, it's not as good as Plan 9. Sure the film is more serious than Plan 9 could ever hope to be, but it's markably less enjoyable to watch, apart from the octopus scenes, and the final scene including Vornoff (Lugosi) getting knocked into his own octopus by a polystyrene bolder, then, for no apparent reason, lightning strikes the octopus and a large atomic blast ensues. In the next shot, the police and Janet (King) are stood right next to where Vornoff fell, showing a complete immunity to death?! But then, Wood fans could have it no other way.
