Based on Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, this Depression-era story is set in a small town in Alabama, where a black man is accused of raping a white woman. The climate of the time is seen through the eyes of 8-year-old Scout Finch, whose widower father, Atticus (Gregory Peck), is a principled attorney who makes the controversial decision to defend the accused man.
