The film adaption of the Broadway play. Window washer J. Pierpont Finch, armed with a book called How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying, is determined to make his way to the top in the world of business. He undergoes this task at the World-Wide Wicket Company, where he quickly starts progressing up the company ladder, with much approval from big man J.B. Biggley, and much disapproval from Biggley's spoiled nephew, Bud Frump; Finch also meets Rosemary Pilkington, a secretary with loving eyes for him...if only he would notice.
