After carrying out the theft of jewelry, including black diamonds, Anthony Fait (DMX) and his fellow gang members start to run into some unexpected trouble with some very powerful criminals. While escaping from the scene of the theft, one of Anthony’s gang members encounters Su (Jet Li), a Taiwan law enforcement officer, who takes the loot from him. When Su discovers that the black diamonds are not in the loot that he stole from Anthony’s gang member, he goes in search of them, but he is not the only one after them to get the jewelry. To ensure that he gets the diamonds, Ling (Mark Dacascos) kidnaps Anthony’s daughter and demands that Anthony trades over the black diamonds for his daughter. When Anthony leaves the black diamonds with a friend for them to be valued, they are stolen by another gang, leaving Anthony with no bargaining chip for his daughter. Together in an unusual alliance, Su, Anthony and his small gang work together in an effort to rescue Anthony’s daughter and retrieve the black diamonds.
