What if the person who played Count Orlok in the horror classic "Nosferatu" was indeed a real vampire and that was why he was so believable on screen? That's the idea of this film. It follows a director (played by John Malkovich) wanting to create the most realistic vampire film the world has ever seen. So much so that he accidentally hires a real vampire to play the part of Count Orlok (played by Willem Dafoe). People start going missing and some even die and Max Schreck is taking his part as the vampire a little too seriously. The movie is a retelling and a fictional behind the scenes of "Nosferatu-Eine Symphonie des Grauens" (Nosferatu - A Symphony of Horror)
