When it comes to sequels in the movie land you tend to find that they go completely off track and you lose all perspective of what you are supposed to be watching but not with this one, this is one of the exceptions to the rules, its an excellent follow on to an originally brilliant movie.
At the beginning of this movie you get a slight recap as to what happened in the first so you instantly know that its going to be following on the story of Kirsty cotton the main character in this movie, and for me that was an important part of the movie.
It was interesting to see a brand new episode in this line as they brought in another character called Doctor channard who had been doing years worth of research into the box and its whereabouts. So he manipulates Kirsty into telling her story and pretending to care when you already know that he is going to have his own agenda.
Ok so this movie was made in the 80s and the special effects in this movie wernt all that good but they were an improvement on the original, also Black monday had an effect on this movie and some of the scenes had to be cut out or not even filmed because they simply did not have the money to get them completed in time for release.
On the whole I gave this movie a 6 star rating as it is also another favourite movie of mine and the story of pinhead and his cenobites will never die in my eyes.
