Awful, just awful, Alien 3 is very easily the worst of the bunch Aliens 1 and 2 were brilliant and to follow it up with this movie should be a crime. I have recently read the original script outline for Aliens 3 and that was very interesting and a good plot, I have no idea how it became this. The characters were boring and killing off three characters the people cared about from the previous movie... Huge Mistake.

Not terrible.

It definitely did not stand up to the quality of the first two. Its not that it was a terrible movie overall - this film was just a clear step down in the series which apparently has never recovered.

Judged on its own merits, this film is not half bad. As an entry into the Alien mythos, however, it doesn't hope to measure up. First of all, why in the hell would you kill off Newt, Hicks and Bishop (ok, Bishop was never really alive, but you know what I mean)? And then, as if that weren't enough- you infect Ripley! Stupid. Just stupid. And a fatal blow to the film's chances of ever being accepted by the ferocious fan base of this story. I got an idea for Alien 5: Ripley wakes up aboard the Sulaco just as Hicks is stepping out of the shower... wow, Alien 3 and 4 were just a dream!

This is the worst of the Alien movies by far... even though one of my fav directors was at the helm, and the acting was superb... Not even Fincher or Weaver could save the horrendous script...

Well maybe they shouldn`t have made a third "Alien" movie, but actualy it`s not that bad, the story is a little bit wierd, and so is the script, but still this movie is watchable.

Can people please stop putting this film down. O.K it isn't revolutionary. O.K, it doesn't do one thing perticulary well but non the less it's a brilliant film. Siquorney probably gives her best performance here as she is given alot more freedom...

Siquorney probably gives her best performance here as she is given alot more freedom and a stronger storyline. Not nearly as loveable as the marines in Aliens but all the prisoners are well developed and loveable, perticulary Dillon. The script is all right but this film has real atmosphere and is somehow rather disturbing . . .
