A good movie for the whole family. It's got humor and adventure in it. It's basically a really good family movie.

This is a great movie made out of a great book. My fave character is Stanley.

A very intersting movie. I like that it was based off of the book, and a lot of scenes were the same, but personally, I liked the book better. The movie was still good, but I guess I'm just more of a bookworm. But I guess it was an awesome movie!

Holes tells the story of young Stanley Yelnats the 4th, who happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time due to a family curse. Being falsely arrested for stealing a pair of cleats from a homeless shelter that were donated by a famous baseball player, when in reality they fell on his head, Stanley is sent to Camp Green Lake where he has to dig holes. Every kid who goes to Camp Green Lake must dig holes and if they find something they have to report their findings. But exactly they're supposed to be looking for is a mystery, but it has something to do with an outlaw from the 1800s and it also has to do with Stanley's great grandfather. With the plot down, I thought that this was a joy to watch as all the acting, especially from Shia LaBeouf, who plays Stanley Yelnats the 4th, and also from the rest of the cast which features Jon Voight, Sigourny Weaver, and Henry Winkler. It's a great family film, but they do leave a couple of things unexplained, but it shouldn't deter from the overall movie, and there are a couple of scenes that may be confusing to younger people. Other than that, Holes is a good find for those looking for a good movie to watch with the family.
